Digital Detox – Unplug to Reconnect A Pan – Asian Campaign

đŸ“± Campaign Launch: “Digital Detox – Unplug to Reconnect”
A Pan-Asian Movement for Healthier Digital Habits

Across Asia, mobile phone and social media use has reached unprecedented levels. From Seoul to Singapore, teens and young adults are spending more hours than ever glued to screens—often at the expense of their mental health, academic performance, and real-world relationships.

In fact, countries like the Philippines, Thailand, and Indonesia report some of the highest daily screen times globally, with young people averaging 8–10 hours a day on mobile devices. In urban centres across China, India, Malaysia, and Vietnam, increasing numbers of young users are showing signs of smartphone addiction—marked by anxiety, sleep disruption, and digital burnout.

That’s why Back4Good.asia is proud to launch our new regional initiative:

🌿 Digital Detox – Unplug to Reconnect
This campaign encourages young people across Asia to take time out from social media and screen dependency. It’s about rebalancing, recharging, and rediscovering joy beyond the digital world.

🌏 What We’re Doing:

Hosting “Screen-Free Challenges” in schools and universities across Asian cities.
Running peer-led workshops in collaboration with educators and mental health professionals.
Promoting positive offline habits like community volunteering, outdoor activities, and face-to-face conversations.
Sharing local stories across Asia that celebrate what happens when we disconnect to reconnect.
🎯 Why It Matters:

Digital dependency is now recognised as a major public health concern in parts of Asia. Without awareness and action, the emotional and social costs to young people will continue to rise.

This is your chance to be part of a movement that makes a difference.
