Our client, a global leader in emerging technologies, is seeking a highly skilled AI Engineer to join their Tokyo-based innovation lab. You’ll work alongside a talented cross-disciplinary team, developing solutions that impact millions across sectors such as robotics, healthcare, fintech, and smart mobility.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain state-of-the-art AI models including deep learning and natural language processing (NLP).
Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers and domain experts to translate business needs into AI-driven solutions.
Build scalable AI pipelines and integrate models into production-ready systems.
Apply advanced machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch or similar.
Analyse large datasets to extract actionable insights, ensuring data quality and integrity.
Stay abreast of developments in artificial intelligence and contribute to research and innovation within the team.
Optimise performance and accuracy of models through rigorous evaluation and tuning.
Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field.
3+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML development.
Proficiency in Python, Java or C++.
Strong knowledge of deep learning, NLP, reinforcement learning, or computer vision.
Experience deploying models in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
Business-level English is required; Japanese proficiency is an advantage but not essential.
